Bouyssou, Cerchio Place at Clarion Open




In their first college tournament Louie Cerchio and Gabriel Bouyssou placed at the Clarion Open in Pennsylvania.


Bouyssou took 5th at 141 pounds, with a 4-1 record. He ended strong with a technical fall over Brown’s Ian Oswald and major against Ohio State's Andre Gonzales. He scored over 60 points in his four victories.


Cerchio earned a 5-1 mark on the day, including a pin and two majors on his way to the 5th place match at 165 pounds. His two decision wins were by seven points piece.


Also winning multiple bouts were Cash Henderson at heavyweight and Ryder Yoshitake at 149. Both of Henderson's victories were by major decision, while Yoshitake picked up a major as well.


Justin Shay (141) and Kosta Koufalis (157) got their hand raised while Daniel Aranda (141) also represented Spartan Combat RTC at the tournament.
