Ben Honis is returning to Ithaca! The 2019 Cornell University graduate has joined the Spartan Combat RTC, further boosting the upperweight group in Ithaca. Honis was an All-American for the Big Red at 197 pounds and has been active for Team Italy on the freestyle circuit internationally. Honis took fifth at the 2024 World Championships and the 2023 European Championships, while nabbing bronze at the Budapest Ranking Series event in July 2025. He will compete at 97 kilograms.

The Spartan Combat RTC is excited to welcome Greg Kerkvliet. Kerkvliet, who competes internationally for the United States at 125 kg, will bolster the RTC's upperweights. He was the 2024 NCAA Champion at heavyweight for Penn State and a two-time NCAA finalist while in college. Kerkvliet has had success in freestyle as well, winning a Cadet World Championship in 2017 and making the finals again at that event in 2018. He was fourth at the US Olympic Team Trials in 2024. In his first ever competition at 65 kg, Vito Arujau took bronze at the Muhamet Malo Ranking Series Tournament in Albania. Arujau, a 61 kg World Champion and bronze medalist, went 4-1 during the event with victories over Bienkowski (Poland), Yessengeldi (Kazakhstan) and Hanna (Bahamas) to make the semifinals.
