Vito Arujau Earns Bronze in 65 kg Debut

In his first ever competition at 65 kg, Vito Arujau took bronze at the Muhamet Malo Ranking Series Tournament in Albania.

Arujau, a 61 kg World Champion and bronze medalist, went 4-1 during the event with victories over Bienkowski (Poland), Yessengeldi (Kazakhstan) and Hanna (Bahamas) to make the semifinals. He then lost 18-15 at the buzzer to Babazade (AZE) to move to the bronze bout. Arujau defeated Ecuador's Joshua Kramer, 11-7, after falling behind 6-1 early, to take third.
