Mike Dellagatta won the National Collegiate Open at 197 pounds over the weekend with a dominant performance.
Dellagatta began with a first period pin over Niccolo Colucci of Rutgers and followed with technical falls over Cayden Bevis and Andrew Davis of Binghamton (18-1 and 19-2 scores).
Earning fourth place finishes were Roberto Padilla (165), Zahir McLean-Felix (174), and Carson Crace (184).
Padilla picked up a pair of victories during the day. After dropping his opener, McLean-Felix won three straight by bonus points, while Crace also took three in a row (one by pin and another by tech).
Also competing for Spartan were Tyler Ferrara (133), Mac Calavitta (149), and Buzzy Bomberger (157).
