Spartan RTC Combat athlete Nick Gwiazdowski dominated his way through the Bill Farrell Memorial International in New York City on Saturday, winning the championship at 125 kg.
After falling behind 4-0 early in his first match against Mahamed Zakariiev of Ukraine, Gwiazdowski stormed back for an 8-4 victory.
He then blanked his next two opponents, Ceron Francisco and Christian Lance, by a combined 21-0 to earn a spot in the finals.
He took control right away against Demertius Thomas and finished with a 5-2 decision and first place.
